After reading a post on the 12wbt forum and this blog post http://bellaxthree.wordpress.com/2012/05/09/100-reasons-why-i-want-to-lose-weight/

I decided to make my own list of reasons for doing the 12wbt and change my life. I can come back to this daily and it will be a reminder, my motivation to live and achieve FREEDOM!

Mish says 'motivation is like a bad boy friend, never there when you need it'. So I am posting this so it is here when I need it.

  1. To be the best version of me I can be
  2. To let go of the past version of myself and embrace the healthy version
  3. To become strong in mind
  4. To be challenged
  5. To have more fun
  6. To not be thinking about my weight and size and food ALL the time
  7. To complete each and every milestone
  8. To strengthen my willpower muscle - to make it the strongest muscle I have!
  9. To be healthy
  10. To reduce my BMI and fat % to within a healthy range
  11. To never have that ‘You need to lose weight‘ conversation with a medical professional 
  12. To lose the belly & back fat
  13. To be able to run
  14. To complete a fun run that I run the whole way
  15. To learn to love moving more
  16. To be able to do push ups, sit ups, wall sits and planks.
  17. To become strong in body
  18. To attend gym classes 
  19. To ride a bike again
  20. To meet new people and become more social instead of hiding
  21. To lower my cardiovascular risk
  22. To reduce my risk of type 2 diabetes
  23. To minimise musculoskeletal issues as I age
  24. To add more years to my life 
  25. To kick the unhealthy food addiction
  26. To find new yummy healthy things to eat
  27. To learn moderation
  28. To NOT be thinking about food EVERY minute of EVERY day - Life is just not food.
  29. To look like I belong in my kayak.
  30. To have room to sleep in our swag without over-hanging the side.
  31. To not be heavier, bigger, wider than my partner
  32. To be able to keep up with my partner
  33. To be proud of me so others can be proud of me.
  34. To feel better
  35. To look fantastic in photos
  36. So my clothes fit better
  37. So I have a choice of any clothes from any store
  38. To go on a shopping spree to buy whatever I like, not restricted to ‘Big Girl’ stores
  39. To look better
  40. To not be self conscious about how I look whenever I leave the house
  41. To attend functions where dressing up is required
  42. So I am not always self conscious about my stomach
  43. To confidently wear a dress
  44. To not hide from the camera or cringe when my photos is taken
  45. To be able to experiment more with fashion
  46. To feel comfortable in my own skin
  47. To not have to suck my gut in
  48. To not dread photos from special occasions
  49. To feel comfortable to do any activity I want, that I wont break anything and that I will fit.
  50. To get a regular towel around me.
  51. To not be self conscious when eating in public and not think people are looking and thinking “If I was as fat as you I would not be eating THAT!
  52. To wear sleeveless tops and dresses and not be self conscious
  53. To treat myself to gorgeous lingerie and not be self conscious about walking into a lingerie shop
  54. To  sit in any chair without checking it first
  55. To not be embarrassed about any part of my body
  56. To have nothing holding me back from living.
  57. To wear clothes that are not black
  58. To play with my grand kids for longer
  59. To not have 'morbidly obese' on my death certificate
  60. To have knees
  61. To have only one chin
  62. To walk without my thighs rubbing together
  63. Because I am sick of the 'one day it will happen'
  64. To spend more time in the beautiful outdoors
  65. To stop making excuses
  66. To learn how to plan for exercise and a healthy lifestyle
  67. To learn new life affirming habits to replace the life draining ones
  68. To learn to not feel guilty about my bad choices, accept them for what they are and move on.
  69. To learn alternatives to eating from boredom or emotion
  70. To have more energy
  71. To not be so tired
  72. To be able to throw out/give away/sell my larger sizes clothing
  73. To not have to worry about weight restrictions for things like gliding, forest flying fox etc.
  74. So my shorts don't ride up as I walk
  75. To wear shorts comfortably
  76. To decrease my down moods due to being fed up with myself and my body
  77. To do something with my sister and get to know her better.
  78. To encourage my sister along her journey.
  79. So I can never say - I have nothing to wear
  80. To be 'normal'
  81. To not be comfortable with failure
  82. Because this is important to me and I want to experience the success of becoming a healthier fitter person.
  83. To learn to overcome the negative thoughts that tell me I can't
  84. To move more easily and participate more
  85. To reduce the amount of injuries due to carrying so much weight
  86. To form JFDI habits
  87. To lose weight and become healthy
  88. To win the mindset battles
  89. To develop a life affirming weekly routine rather than a 'last minute louis' one
  90. To NOT be puffed out 
  91. To be involved in a team sport if I chose to be
  92. To get the control back
  93. To reduce stress
  94. To be physically capable of doing the gardening, even though I may not want to
  95. To be honest with myself
  96. To go to the pool/beach without the embarrassment
  97. To have the support of others on the same journey
  98. To get inspiration and a push from others when I need it
  99. To explore my limits
100. To reach all of these goals so I can tick them off my list and use the massive amounts of energy it is taking for other goals.
